About Us

Britt Mittemeijer When I was younger I felt indestructible. I still feel that way sometimes, but my years and logic tell me this can’t go on forever. Yet, I have programmed myself to stay well until my time is up. My extreme aversion to pain and sickness make me passionate about health and wellness and I have always known that health is my responsibility alone. It’s not my doctor’s responsibility, nor my husband’s of 50 years nor any kind of wonder drugs; no, it’s my responsibility.  My business reflects that.

Now I am a grandmother with the fervent desire to see my grandchildren grow and progress and have children of their own. When I turned 65 I decided to count backwards at every birthday and I got away with that, because I could always pass for that younger age. When I hit 59 I figured I’d have to stop; maybe 60 (years) sounds old enough to be wise and yet young enough, since the new 60 is the 50 or 40 of a few years ago.

I am extremely fortunate in many ways. Growing up in war-ravished and postwar Germany gave me a very different outlook on life and awareness of being alive than younger generations in the US and Europe whose consciousness is impacted by prosperity and economic progress. In spite of sometimes severe deprivations in my early life I am grateful for that early experience because it gives me perspective and gratefulness for the “toys” and prosperity that came later in my life. I am also very fortunate that I straddle two continents and am comfortable in both of them: Germany and America. This global perspective allows me to be open to diverse cultures and ideas.

As consciousness about health and health maintenance is reaching more and more of the mainstream I am glad and anxious to contribute to that trend which includes living consciously within the planet Earth. There is much known and communicated about what constitutes good health so that anyone, if he is not living under a rock, will have a good idea about how to adapt to a lifestyle that may very well spare him/her the agony of illness. It’s doesn’t have to be difficult; our job is to make it easy with basic nutrients that support good health and while doing that, to tread lightly upon the Earth.
